Just after liminal space changes

Um.

Why does liminal look a lot like Star's deadspace? Did the Arcana do something?

No, I don't think it's that. Her deadspace is...already very much a shrine. This does not have the feel of a monument to the dead.

I thought this was just, like, a regular shift, liminal space deciding it wants to try something else on. What do you mean, deadspace? Deadspace does not sound encouraging.

Ah, sorry. Not deadspace as in the space is going to try and kill us or anything. Just that the Arcana's spaces, the ones were they bring us to speak with them, those remain even after they die. Star is gone, but her space still exists.

Liminal is not exactly the same. But the similarities are striking. We find it unlikely to be coincidence.

Yes. She died after the first visit to Belljar. Before my time, but some of the old guard around here were there for it.

From what I know of it, it did not go well. There's a reason she died then.

Yeah. Last time we went to that particular scenic post-apocalypse didn't help either, I hear.

Some manifestations of liminal space are lighter on the mindgames than others. Hideous balls of fused feet instead of chaotic manifestations of our previous infiltrator identities, say.

Tank gear? It's - her space isn't underwater, or anything. It's just like all the other Arcana spaces, but...dead.

...god, been hanging out with AWOl adventurers so long I forget that that's jargon. I spent three months stuck in a video game before I came here and the lingo rubs off on you.

Ah. Well. Defensive hear is not necessary. There isn't anything to fight. Not unless one of the Arcana decides to kick out us, in which case the armour isn't going to do any good anyway.
