This is Hajime, we, ah, did that thing where we're both infiltrating and not infiltrating, and there's some kind of space base out here with a lot of aliens bent on conquering Earth to take care of some bioweapon? I just...don't really know what's going on beyond that.

[Ryo cuts in again.]

And we're mantises! Mantis people are normal here! Not many of them, but enough to be normal! IS AMAZING!

It’s not the most straightforward method, but if we can find a place where we won’t get in trouble for mystery tech I could take a picture of you with my phone and then make a photo from that in liminal.

Testing facility! We were already talking about showing you mech! Can go out later and test new weapons! No one would go out there with live fire tests, and then we can blow up targets, too!

[Hajime has nothing in the face of Ryo's logic. He is feeling a strange mixture of pride and dread, really. Proud that Ryo sorted that out so fast and dread that Ryo's not going to be innocently easy to handle forever.]

That’s a good point. I like to keep moving, myself, but work where you have to stand around and wait for things isn’t for me.
