Check-In [Week 1]
All right, you know the deal. If you're yourself, psychically raise your hand.
Or, uh, if that doesn't make sense to you, just... let people know you're you. I'm myself, obviously, but I have no idea what the hell my archetype or role is. I was infiltrating last time as Ace -
- shit, I need to avoid him. Anyway! Yeah. Uh. ... Yeah...
[His psychic voice just trails off as the awkward overtakes him.]

[Gladhalagon had been supremely uninterested in anything but keeping the kidlets safe; Laughs hadn't really learned a ton about anything while with him, despite his many years of experience.]

[He rubs Laughs' back gently - not petting, just soothing.]
Sounds like I'm going to have to go start pretending like I'm some kind of authority, if I want to get information out of these weird people.

And they are no weirder than anyone else, all in one. [Weird has started to be a pretty useless category after how long they've been travelling.]

... And yeah, you're right. It's just... well. I guess I shouldn't have expected we'd have all the relevant information coming in, even if we've been here before.

[In the end, it's a game to them. A game with lives and the fate of whole communities. Which ...well, they never claimed to have a system of reason and moral that even remotely resembles that of their play pieces. Which is why Laughs doesn't think that they're evil as a whole. More just... well. Very high level spirits, is what they are.
So his tone is neither amused nor angry, only factual.]
