A Warning and a Check-in

If anyone needs a hand with bein' a Stonefolk, I got a whole heap 'f info on 'em dumped in my head, an' I don't doubt other people do too, so make sure t'ask if y'all ain't sure on somethin'.

But I s'pose the better question is, who have we got kickin' 'round the Investigatin' side a' things? This is Kinji, fer all the new folks, I'm up on Thunder Mountain.

I can already do that. It's what I do with my clothes or anything I'm carrying when I shift. What do I need to know after that?

Items that ain't food. Or too complicated. Y'all can try makin' food like that, but it ain't worth nothin'. Mostly I tend t'make furniture or weapons.

When I was gettin' the hang 'f it, always imagined it as pullin' somethin' outta Hammerspace what don't actually exist in there. Same sorta feel, yer just pullin' it outta the air instead a' yer pocket.

[He could use ectoplasm explanations but really, this way was a lot more straightforward.]

[Good call, man. Stone would require a lot more explanations if you'd gone more technical. He's basically from a hunter-gatherer culture, after all.]

Hmmm. Yes, I think I can see how that would work.

[He is, in fact, equating it with shifting: reaching for that other shape that doesn't exist until he calls for it, with all its extra mass. It might be an interesting way to consider liminal manipulation, pulling something out of another dimension more than creating it.]

And that will only work in liminal space. Not here.

[Which means he'd have to go back in there to practice. Ugh.]
