I've heard some people talking about it on the network, but I figure it makes sense to make it an open question, so we can all think about it and coordinate.

Who all wants to be de-infiltrated when we go back? I can restore three more people myself, and I know we have a lot of people with that ability.

I think I remembered about the statues.

And Naoya was infiltrating. Do you know if the spirit could sense him? I wonder if it would be smarter to restore him so he's in control, or if that would be more likely to alert the spirits of what we're up to...

I think he said he didn't want to be restored. I'm not sure if the spirit could sense him, but given that he hates 'Portori' I don't think waking Naoya up would go well. Plus it'd leave him with three different psyches in one head.

All right - it's a moot point then, if that's what he wants.

For what it's worth, I think the people who know they've got us along for the ride all have half-Infiltrators in their heads.

Well, let's just keep an eye on them and hope the spirits don't try to take action against us - we've got enough problems as it is.

He did say that the spirit can't really do much unless Qabil's Astral Tripping or otherwise occupied outside his body, which would be a point in our favor as long as Qabil's not convinced to actually do something outside his body. Though given the way things tend to go even when we don't have something like this on our hands, I'm not really willing to count on that not happening. And even if if doesn't, having the guy in his head's left Qabil pretty warped in his own right.

He's the one who set the warehouse fire, by the way.

[Armin rubs his forehead briefly, looking like he's getting a headache.]

The Cabalists are hoping to install a new god-king. It was supposed to be Ghalib, but he turned out to be a loose cannon and then got killed, so I think they're eyeing his sister now - they're descendants of the last god-king, who got deposed when we were there last.

Oh, good. [He looks relieved, though still worried.] Well, she's de-infiltrating herself when we go back, so we don't have to worry about that one too much, then.

I think Alcuin's been keeping an eye on her overlay as well, so she'll have backup from him and Joscelin.

I may just leave it to them, then, unless they ask for help. The nation eaters are enough for us to worry about, I think.

That and the state of the world in general. I know Claudia's overlay wanted to go to the High Tables to see if there was any old technology there that could help them, although it's going to require a bunch of specialized gear to do it.

So far I've mostly been wondering why it has to be a goddamned dance when most of us are probably feeling like utter shit and thus not in the actual mood for one. I mean, I get ritual magic as a concept, but...

That's about where I'm at too. And even after it starts, the fact that it's something we need to do or this universe is fucked is going to be an oppressive air over the entire thing.

Yeah, the pressure's not going to help at all. And even if they hide the viewscreen that shows the Fallenheart people, we all know they're there, which makes it feel even more awful on all kinds of levels.

Yeah, it's not like hiding it will make us forget.

I'll do the dances they need to unfreeze everyone. But really, I'm not a very good dancer even when I'm in the mood for it...

I'm not real good at the formal shit - never had the patience for it.

I'm okay at a couple dances - the waltz, mostly - but pretty much just the ones we learned the first time at Nibiru. But then, that was for a mission too - and we practiced for most of a month.

I think I was gone for that one - the name doesn't ring a bell.
