Okay, so somehow this guy used Ace's bident to send a message backstage, and that's why the Travellers are here. He sent out an SOS, and say what you will about Arcana meddling or the protagonists of all world's shittiest isekai, Travellers are unified by wanting to help.
Speaking personally, I don't care who gets the privilege of yelling at at an Adversary for Doing His Own Thing as long as Ace gets her bident back. But I'll defer to the others expertise here. Leader? I hardly know 'er. And I know y'all say I protest too much.
It was Travelers who aided Allura and Thae--ah, the first ones, not AA or my late uncle--in striking back against our Diabolin masters. I'm inclined to tentatively trust them.
Do I need to tell you all what a bad look it'll be for one of us alleged Starmovers in a trenchcoat to Sanction Grant?
He's a pain in the ass, but do not, I swear to Shineikha and to Aurora and Flamma too if it'll help you realize how fucking serious I am. Adonai will forgive me, but I won't forgive you.
If someone has to Sanction him for this shit, let it be one of the Roles that isn't suspected of being a tiny star wearing one of us like a meat puppet.
...Allura the Liberator was a Traveller, or resonated with one. I've just met her, and there's no mistaking her face, her demeanor... her Companion... her aura.
We are agreed that if that secret gets out, it will not be a Coordinator who does so? I do not care if a Traveller's soul guided hers in our liberation; we were liberated still. But if word of this gets out -
- gods, she's worthy of Shacklebreaker. May still have an echo of it.
She would know no peace. We cannot do that to her.
(She projects an image of Casper and his trusty baseball bat, labeled: “This Traveller is our FRIEND! He fights for FREEDOM!”)
Casper here comes from a world of Gods and attuned Relics, and understood the implications of losing a Bident immediately.
He’s also a better Oracle than a Conductor; his doubt and fear make him wise and spur him on rather than short-circuiting him. He’s a good Second-Guesser to have.
Grant trusts the Travellers and the Arcana more than he trusts any native dreamer (fucked up if true), and Casper asked to talk with him, so... we’ve tried the best, now try the rest?
After Grant's escape attempt. Tightbeam to Leah. Some Muncest unavoidable.
Do not under any circumstances emotionally bolster an Oracle in the middle of Oracling until we get more information about why Titan nearly took on the goddamn silver just from Mirroring Ace's Berzerker Rage.
Not your fault, Ace, nor his. This is... damn near unprecedented.
Given that we've done this before to Thorn and she didn't become one of us until my Bident stopped humming, I am fairly certain that this is a resonating effect of Mirrors on bolstering rather than Oracular power in general, but we can't risk giving the Grants of the world more ammo, and frankly I came damn close to wondering if Grant was right about us.
But no. This just reinforces what I already knew about the ethics of bestowing the Silver.
Think we may have a second Traveller Conductor if we’re careful and lucky! Hecatite, apparently like one in her home verse, Champion of the Forge - leaning Oracle and Conductor. Bismuth.
She’s also willing to help examine and duplicate our Bidents, which a Champion of the Forge with IRL experience making weapons might be able to pull off... and we KNOW why that's fraught but it's also too useful a chance to pass up. Thoughts?
This isn't a punishment. I should never have put you where he could push your buttons like that and I'm sorry. Good news is, we might have your Bident back very soon; a Traveller Pillar volunteered to retrieve it.
If anyone else needs to be relieved or swapped out more often, please ping us, okay?
So, Thae was a half-Troll. We know because he told us so. (And didn't realize we been knew, it's cute.)
Between that, one of the Travs' unfuckening my tuning fork in the time machine to hand it back, and a third lucky thing that's personal, this week is lookin' up.

...Right, the legend of the Girl Who Dreamed In Waking, Champion of Pilots. That's Traveller bullshit, wasn't it?

Dreamshapers.
That's an idea for getting the world's largest thumbtack out of backstage.
Pez, Meg, Jazz, you're good at that. Who else?

I know not all Adversaries are like that, but sometimes they just stop thinking about the rest of us, and we need to stop them.
Or - what if we send him down the Bore to get the Bident back?

I think I might have to tell Titan one of the Cool Kids secrets. It won't be a big one, but he's not going to understand if I don't.

Mattmod has informed me that it is impossible to send private messages; react accordingly.
I have queried other Hecatite Conductors and determined a possible cause. I will be there as soon as possible.

... Maybe I should stick to Club Members Only for now.
Because, Strings... if I throw someone a rope they might, you know, get all tied up (quiet, Pez).
I'm really curious now, though.
