End of Week 3
We've finished the Sift of the Fractals. I want to thank everyone who helped us. What we uncovered was not unexpected. It's probably worse than many of us were hoping for.

I will just put it on the network for anyone to investigate at their leisure. I didn't find any potentially infectious information in what we uncovered so it should be safe. Casper? I think now might be the time to use that Arcana skill. If anyone else has Arcana skills that help with coming up with or implementing plans, we welcome your advice.
Given what we've uncovered, I think Thetan's plan to write a new version of the dreaming software from scratch has become much more important. If anyone can help with that in any way, please meet with us in Hushabye meadow.

1) Every tessellation contains two fractals, calculated to interlock precisely. One of these fractals is unique to each tesselation, whereas the others are a repeated set of seven.
2) Each of the seven corresponds with one of the seven primary tenets of Orthopraxy.
3) Each of the unique ones has a unique association in each mind, within certain parameters.
4) Each unique fractal becomes associated with an audio stimulus,
5) Each audio stimulus is a complex recurring pattern which requires both memory and pattern recognition to decode;
6) Each complex recurring pattern then produces a pattern unique to it in the Synthetic system's heat management system
7) Those reactions are subtle but audible, visible, or tangible via vibration, air movement, or olfactory stimulus to the creatures around the Synthetic
8) Because the association of these patterns is strengthened by recurrence... they're not recurring dreams (or rather, they produce recurring dreams like a racial subconscious, but...), they're recurring memes.
9) And the fact that Synthetics and ships give off unique sensory stimuli detectable by organic beings when they're exposed to these memes means that the subliminal program is capable of transmission across the Synthetic-organic boundary. Every ship and synthetic plugged in can expose everyone they speak with, or who speaks around them, to the same subtle programming.

...if someone could do that bloodwork on Leah to see what comes up? I got a terrible hunch. Because her body doesn’t feel like it belongs to someone clinically depressed or anxious, and frankly, I know the difference. It’s the same difference as me IRL and my avatar now.

Plenty of liquids before will also help. I can preserve a sample, but I don't have the skills to analyse it myself.

Consider that this plan requires Bridging with Conductor powers intact, and transforming on base. Having a warband with Tuners should help too.
Consider also that I’m not doing this without a way of undoing it, because we’re better than them.
But it’s occurred to Leah that everyone infected by Orthopraxy, which logically forbids conversion by the sword, was horrified and ashamed by it.
And consider also that charity begins at home.

Concerned because it does go so much against Orthopraxy, even if it is immediately undone.
My concern is about it backfiring. If they are already willing to use these methods to force Orthopraxy on others, will they truly care? Or will it be proof that it does work, and only spur them on to attempting it at a greater scale.

Killing them is also an option. Whether it is the best choice... I would have to spend some time meditating on that.

If the macrochip and antenna can transmit ideas... then there’s no reason it can’t transmit the idea of the truth of what they did.

Please advise me on my best Choices. My impulse control is there, again, but I’m still untempered by doubt, grief or fear. And that’s a very different thing than ignoring it. I need your advice.
...and a way to block or interfere with their updates once ours goes out.

Even if that doesn't work, we can still use the transmission to get the truth out there. We could pack it in code in such a way that it leaves copies of the information behind, labeled and accessible. Even if there is a concentrated effort to delete all the copies, it will be harder to do so long as even one person is willing to protect or conceal even one copy that can then be moved to create more copies. Our own virus that spreads information, if you will.
I will do so and get back to you what I've discovered as soon as I can.
Finding a way to erase or corrupt their files will at least slow them down. We should ask the Travelers who were investigating in Home what they did. Because those methods will be useful again.

[Thace thinks for a moment.] We're not ready now for the reprogramming, but I'll tell you when. As far as subtlety, I think we should try to restrict wholesale destruction or death, but more minor damage would be necessary to get the kind of attention you'd need to draw away from other places.

Avoiding casualties and any kind of collateral damage that would be a serious problem for civilians is something I insist on myself. What I need to know is whether I should pretend to be 'normal', or if it's okay for me to do shit like walk on the ceiling or use my Champion magic to open doors by yelling at them.

We have a better shot at figuring that out than almost anyone else in the Dreaming, except possibly any Travellers who picked up Bardic magic along the way.

That's a good point. Wasn't sure if you could work with other Harmonies besides your own, but if you can that'll be a big help.

Sirens are mermaids that can hear the Sea's, and channel the magic of Her Song through their own voices. I can only Sing the Song of Calming, but there a lot of different Songs that have all kinds of uses.
It's also extremely addictive. Sirens would sometimes keep Singing even though they'd been Singing for so long they were seriously hurting themselves, because they couldn't make themselves stop. It's why when I was fighting alongside Leah and the other Conductors I forced myself not to sing along with them. I'm used to watching myself to make sure I don't start Singing on impulse, so I noticed the meme urge and thought it was the addiction.
