So...uh...shot in the dark here: is there anyone who's special abilities are acting a little...off? [Because that was so specific] Either the ones you've picked up from Jaunts along the way, or whatever powers you had before you got here?

What kind of magic ban?

[This was the first she'd heard of any such thing. While it might not relate to her current predicament, it was still something she felt like she should know about. Particularly considering, until now, she'd been able to use her own magic almost completely unrestricted. Maybe because it was different than theirs?]

We can't make Furniture. And I can't make food that's good to eat yet.

Weird. Meanwhile, there are people who say they've never been able to do that before, who can do it now.

I haven't noticed anything, no, but my "powers" are really fairly limited in scope. The ones I picked up since arriving here don't seem as insistently bothersome as they did, during the Jaunts, but I don't think that's a product of being "here" so much as not being them anymore.

Mostly, yeah.

[She was purposely vague about the all right part so that she wouldn't have to lie. Was she hurt? No. Did she have a bad Jaunt? Surprisingly, no. Was this Liminal working out for her? Kind of, yeah. Was there something wrong? ...she was still trying to figure that out.]

Do you mind if I ask what your powers are, exactly? I mean, if you don't want to tell me, that's cool. But I thought I might ask. Just for comparison's sake.

Well, I'm a werewolf. I was before this Jaunt, too, so that's my "power" from home. It comes with enhanced senses, strength, and speed. The only real difference here, really, is that there's no sun or moon or proper time here, so I don't experience my full moon rages or weakness to sunlight-- I do on Jaunts, however.

I've picked up a few things since arriving here, though. Would you like to hear that run-down as well?

After a bit of a test on some poor defenseless stuffed animals, I have decided that my powers from home work normally, and nothing feels off with anything else.

Slight bit of trouble keeping my powers under control lately. Still working, just not as well as they usually do.

Not working as well like... they're not as strong as usual, or like they're doing weird things you didn't expect?

Just the opposite.

They're way stronger than usual. Which, normally, I'd be completely okay with...except I don't have enough training to focus that much concentrated power at once.
