Excuse me... ah, I believe I am using this properly?

My name is Hiroshi Yamane. I thought it prudent to inform the rest of the Travellers that a young man - a Prince, I believe - has been attempting to recruit young men and women to serve as priests and priestesses under the idea that the Goddess Hebe will be able to help resolve this incident. I myself have my doubts, but at the same time I feel that if I allow myself to be recruited, I may be able to better understand what else may be going on beyond what we know of the Titans and the Gods themselves. That said, I admit I am still very new to this, ah, "investigating" process, and if anybody should desire that I look into anything in particular as I work towards this endeavor, I am more than willing to listen to suggestions.

There are many things wroth dying for, do you really think this is one of them?

Are you suggesting this is a human sacrifice? I have yet to see anything that would suggest this to be the case.

We're dealing with the gods and titans of Ancient Greece, is there anything to suggest it wouldn't be a sacrifice?

You're thinking Aztec, not Greek. And as someone whose best friend is from the Greek pantheon, I can say with at least ninety nine percent certainty that the Greeks do not do human sacrifice. So how about you stuff it?

Do you think she may be working with the Titans, or independently of them?

I honestly could not say. She seems to have a high self-worth if she honestly thinks she can affect any sort of change by herself. If an entire pantheon could not alter the course of events, I struggle to see how she could. She could be an agent, or simply attempting to take advantage of the current state of affairs. Either way, the only thing I can do is observe for now.

Or she may simply be as petty and revenge minded as... well, your average Olympian.

Or Titan, for that matter.

We must determine if she's worth more as an ally of humanity than her spite will harm them.

My understanding is Ancient Greece was never short on spite.

Either way, she is less of interest to me than the man recruiting. Somehow, I feel that he is, if not the key to the mystery of this place, then certainly one of them.

It wouldn't be the first time that the younger generation took over for the one before. It might be she means to indulge in that particular family tradition rather than helping reverse it.

Do you happen to know this Hebe, and her role in the pantheon?

She's the goddess of youth. One of the rare Zeus offspring by Hera.

[As opposed to literally everyone else]

So that would fit the usual mythological family dysfunction. Usually she's mentioned in stories as performing some minor service to the other gods. A cupbearer, or helping someone into a chariot. She married Herakles, though given the existence of the Heraclides I'm not certain that's the case here.

Find out how much he knows about the Titan's plot. Don't give anything away - if we let slip what we know, we'll be putting Kinji's life at stake. If this Prince isn't aware of the root source, we can't rely on his opinions of anything that might 'resolve' it.

The Olympians might kill people, but their priests are very clear that human sacrifice disgusts them, so I wouldn't worry about that possibility.

That is what I had generally assumed, yes. If you are willing to provide assistance, I would not turn it down, especially considering your experience.
