If no-one else gets offered it, I can definitely be our inside Gem. According to her, I've got a pretty good disposition for it already, so it shouldn't affect how much I'm myself. But it definitely seems like the kind of thing that can really screw with your head.

That's a pretty big if, though. Not sure how to test that one in advance.

All they really did with me was invite me to ask anything and then get angry about the questions, but I’d say no anyway.

[slowly] I think it really depends on a lot of personal factors. My bonds are extremely strong. We rely a lot on one another. I don't know how any of us would take being separated like that. I guess I wouldn't regret it or be sad, because Conductors can't feel that. But I don't know if I could do that to my friends. To Matt.

There's some danger in not being able to feel those things. I've experienced something like it once, and it was great, but afterward I can definitely see how dangerous it could be. You would certainly get more reckless, you know? Leah deliberately thanked me and the other Oracles for being their sense of restraint for them.

I care for you deeply, and I think we both rely on one another when things get tough. The Bond is auxiliary to that, it's not the cause or foundation - we'd still be close, still come to one another with problems, still be able to use the Network to talk across distance. But it's hard to think about losing that instant connection.

It means a lot to me, and I rely on it.
